Zebra, Zebra as fast as lighting,
Sprinting through the savannah.
Standing proud and unique,
While showing off your stripes.
Giraffe, Giraffe as tall as a mountain,
Munching on the savannah,
Standing still guarding your home,
While admiring your beautiful skin.
Elephant, elephant as large as a continent,
Bathing in the savannah.
Standing amongst the crowd,
While feeding through your long trunk.

The Cheetah
The cheetah stalking prey in the Savanna waiting for its moment,
When approaching the antelope,
The antelope catching sight of the cheetah,
The brutal killer glances at the cowering cautious antelope,
Knowing the cheetah nothing is too fast for him reaching terrorising speeds,
Catching up to the antelope leaping bounding tails flashing,
As the cheetah takes that bounding leap towards victory,
Gripping and gripping the neck of its prey,
Dragging it into the dust suffocating its prey,
As the cheetah drags its prey to the young,
It must ward off hungry predators,
So its offspring can feed.

The Lions
Tracking their prey stealthily through the grass
Hiding in the wild jungle, waiting to attack, getting ready to
Eat a buffalo.
Lions’ sharp teeth and claws will rip you apart
In fact, the fast and fierce king of the jungle
Only attacks when it is hungry, feasting on
Nourishing buffalos and springing gazelles
Sneaking through the grass, climbing trees, roaring in the night

African Plains
African plains are dusty and hot
Animals you will meet a lot!
Flamingos lounge about in the sun
They’d rather sleep than have some fun
Rhinos really like to munch
You hear the grass inside go crunch
Impalas like to graze around
With their feet firm on the ground
Cicadas chirp high in the trees
They’re just looking for little fleas
Aardvarks dig their habitats
With all the mice and all the rats.
