Our set design was based on the African plains and the lion king. We were set a task to make a disguised shoebox set that would be ideal for our performance if we had the time and money.
First of all we had to think about what we were going to do, we chose to make a late sunrise design with a golden half sun in the background and pride rock in the corner. We also had a waterfall running down pride rock into a lake.
There is also a small camp and a burning fire (which we made out of little sticks and orange tissue paper for extra texture) for the hunters. An elephant and a giraffe have been placed in the set as well. In front of pride rock we added another smaller rock surrounded by dry and limp grass. The golden sun was stuck to a clear blue sky with a bird hanging on a peace of string. We also put some animal patterned curtains on the sides of the box.
