Timon’s mood Board
We included many different things in our mood board including pictures that we collaged together, some words in Swahili like simba and Jambo, and some different patches of texture.
We had pictures of people and animals so we decided to split them up and most of the animal pictures went into the bottom right hand corner of our mood board and the human pictures were positioned mostly along the top.
We titled our mood board ‘Africa’ that we cut out of scarves which had an animal print and that gave an atmosphere of Africa as the prints were those of a zebra and a leopard. We also had some fur fabric which we cut and stuck all around the board to give a nice texture.
Another thing we did was cut up strips of different coloured blue card and layered them along a path we had already drawn to form the river Nile.
We outlined our title to make it stand out as the board was a bit crowded. At the top we drew a sunset alongside a picture of one to really set the scene of Africa. That was helped by our choice of colours which were mostly hot colours (red and yellow) as they are the colours most people associate with Africa.
