Menacing meerkat
Menacingly they scurry through the long bronze grass
bleached by the sun
Elegantly they stand straight and still on guard for danger
Eagerly they dig and scratch at the dried soil
Ready for anything hungry looking for prey
Killing its meal munching away not making a sound
Africa is the home of these amazing creatures
