African elephants hunted down:
The African elephants plodded slowly across the clearing there grey bodies stood out clearly in front of the newly rising sun.
The smallest of them raced to catch up with his mother, as they moved towards the water hole to drink. There was a long day ahead of them. They lost the leader of there herd to a bunch of hyenas yesterday and they weren’t going to loose someone today. As they drunk a clatter of hooves could be heard in the distance and a cloud of dust came between them and the stampede. Loud grunts sounded and the dust cleared. Six buffalos lay dead on the edge of the horizon; the elephants began to panic ten lionesses stood circling them. One jumped forward and an elephant bucked the lioness pounced, it went down under the water clinging to the elephants flesh. No bubbles silence. It went on like that for five minutes and then up it came the lioness holing a lifeless body, it screeched to the others they dived, blood was everywhere some ran and came collapsing down as the lionesses ran at there legs. They backed away and began crunching and chewing at the meat. Blood was spattered across the edge of the water hole and the water looked like thick red paint. That is how elephants die and how lionesses feed, it’s the way of life.
